After your business’s Scanners & copiers have been collected or dropped off at our recycling facility in New Jersey they are taken apart by hand. If applicable the Scanners & Copiers hard drive and memory is removed for sterilization (data wipe) and destruction (EMP charge and shredding). Scanner & Copier Recycling
Scanner & Copier E-Waste Recycling in NJ
Demanufacturing Scanners & Copiers is a time consuming process, it starts with an actual person unscrewing and taking apart each and every scanner & copier.
Every component of the scanner & copier is then separated further into smaller components until eventually circuit boards are separated from wires, and the bulk of the plastics, metals and glass have been organised into separate storage boxes.
This is the first and most timely process in recycling. Although many of the toxic materials are yet to be properly separated or reclaimed the demanufacturing stage is the first step to ensuring the scanner & copier doesn’t end up in a landfill site.

Resell, Redeploy or Donate
Other Scanner & Copier Recycling Options
Reselling, redeploy and even donating old Scanners & Copiers to charities are all forms of recycling. If you resell or reuse or gift your Scanners & Copiers they all remain out of landfill sites and that’s the main mission of the NJDEP.
Eventually your Scanners & Copiers will end up being taken apart and recycled. Most clients prefer to have their ewaste recycled through demanufacturing rather than resale or donation. This is because demanufacturing ensures security of information, it reduces potential for corruption or malpractice and, most importantly it ensures that their ewaste is kept out of a NJ landfill site.
However, if you are interested in donating old Scanners & Copiers to a charity Newtech can probably help. Newtech can also help logistically with the secure redeployment if needed. For more information please call our sales team on: 732.564.3110. |

Ewaste Accreditation
For Scanner & Copier Recycling in NJ
There are two types of ewaste accreditation, both of which act as your record of proof that you have recycled your business’s electronics correctly and legally. The first type of ewaste accreditation is a certificate for your business. This certificate shows that your firm is an ecologically responsible organisation with an affirmative policy of corporate social responsibility.
The second ewaste accreditation can be received by the IT director or manager that has overseen the recycling project. This certificate proves the capabilities of the individual and demonstrates a proven awareness and knowledge of New Jersey ewaste recycling laws as they apply to business.
Ewaste certification comes with web enabled logos that can be added to the company website or the individuals LinkedIn page.

Thinking of recycling, donating, reselling or redeploying your offices old PC’s, Laptops and Servers?
You have probably seen, heard or read about data on old hard drives being recovered even after the hard drives were “so called” destroyed. How can a business be 100% certain of data security when it becomes time to retire those old computers? The answer is simple, have the old computers demanufactured. This process ensures each PC is taken apart and melted down. Newtech corporate electronics recycling goes one step further for its clients. First we remove each hard drive and wipe it clean with DOD approved software. Then we run the hard drive through a high powered EMP charge which utterly destroys the data storage capability of the disk drive. After this process the disk is shredded into small pieces and finally melted down to be recycled. It’s a leading edge service like no-other.
Disposing of PC’s, Laptops & Servers? Worried About Data Security? DON’T BE!
